Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games Messenger 1st Group Welcome Dinner was hosted by MGCIP. The guests of honour on that night were D.Y.T.M. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail, Raja Muda Perlis; Y.B. Dato’ Seri Chor Chee Heung, Deputy Minister of Finance Malaysia; and His Excellency Mr. Liu Jian, former Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia. The main purpose of this event was to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Malaysia – China Friendship. Approximately 200 people attended this dinner.

Working Lunch with CCPIT Guangdong, the Minister of Housing and Local Government, and the Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia
The Minister of Transport YB Dato’ Seri Kong Cho Ha , the former Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia H.E. Mr Liu Jian, the President of the CCPIT-Guangdong, Mr Chen Wenjie and its representatives attended to working lunch. MGCIP’s President, Tan Sri Lim Hock San and other committee members were also present for the lunch as well. Dato’ Seri Kong welcomed representatives from the CCPIT Guangdong to Malaysia.
He expressed his gratitude and wishes that the cooperative efforts between CCPIT-Guangdong and MGCIP would be a success.

1st Meeting of the Malaysia - Guangdong Bilateral Business Council
A collaborative event organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangdong (CCPIT) and the MGCIP. The purposes of this meeting were to discuss the bilateral business platform for Malaysia and Guangdong and strategies to jointly face the global financial crisis.
The meeting had attracted about 40 participants. There were four representatives from CCPIT-Guangdong, six from Chaozhou province, 20 from MGCIP and 10 people from the press and media.

Meeting with CCOIC’s Secretary-General, Mr Zhou Xuehai
MGCIP’s President cum Managing Director of LBS Bina Group Berhad, Tan Sri Lim Hock San, led MGCIP committee members, for a meeting with China Chamber of
International Commerce (CCOIC) Secretary-General Mr Zhou Xuehai to discuss issues related to bilateral trade between Malaysia and China.
